  17. <p>    The cheekbones and slanting green eyes are familiar. So is
  18. the name. Actress Alessandra Mussolini, 24, is the niece of
  19. Sophia Loren and the granddaughter of Benito Mussolini. While
  20. the former connection may be a career asset, the latter isn't.
  21. Five years ago, objections from the Italian Jewish community
  22. forced her to give up a role as a Jewish woman. Now she is at
  23. work on a film in Israel, and again she is playing a Jew -- an
  24. Israeli soldier, no less. But so far, reports Il Duce's
  25. descendant, "people have been friendly." At Jerusalem's Western
  26. Wall, it was her limbs, not her lineage that caused a stir: she
  27. was handed a shawl to cover her well-exposed legs.
